Established in 1983, the 450-seat Norris Theatre offers tiered seating with outstanding visibility from any seat in the house. The state-of-the-art theatre is equipped with advanced sound and lighting technology, managed by a professional tech and operations crew. The Palos Verdes Performing Arts Conservatory is where students cultivate their talents, not just as performers, but as people, building self-esteem and developing teamwork, leadership and social skills, all while working with professional instructors in an atmosphere that is both nurturing and challenging.

 

 

 

 

 

The Palos Verdes Library District collaborates with our community to create environments for learning and inspiration, and to share the unique history of the Peninsula. The Palos Verdes Library District is the community’s center for discovery, lifelong learning, and personal enrichment for all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Conservancy preserves undeveloped land as open space for historical, educational, ecological, recreational and scenic purposes. Since its founding in 1988, the Conservancy has successfully preserved 1,600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The Conservancy’s vision is the creation and management of large blocks of natural open space where visitors may enjoy peaceful solitude, where children and adults can learn about the natural environment, and where native plants and animals can thrive.

 

 

 

 

 

Palos Verdes School Gardens seeks to create edible education learning opportunities in public places including schools and restaurant gardens.  The PVSG Outdoor Classroom program, taught by PVSG garden educators, seeks to encourage students and teachers to consider the school garden as an extension of the traditional classroom rather than an extracurricular activity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grand Vision Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We produce live concerts, film screenings, performances and educational events at the historic Warner Grand Theatre, a 1,500 seat art deco movie palace and also at the Grand Annex, a 150-seat music listening room. We also run a robust arts education program called Meet the Music. Grand Vision is the Friends’ Group to the Warner Grand Theatre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Community Art Machine’s mission is to improve communities with art and hard work. We currently have three programs underway, Machine Community Art Studio, the C.U.T.S Crew, and the Mobile Graffiti Yard.

Started in 1976 by parents dismayed by the loss of school art programs, AAYF sends over 300 volunteer docents into public and private classrooms to teach carefully selected projects combining art techniques, art history, and aesthetics to more than 7,000 Palos Verdes Peninsula students each year.
